Dallas police are searching for a group of young
men who terrorized a Northwest Dallas
neighborhood early this morning, kicking in
doors and breaking glass at homes.
Northwest Dallas homes targeted in early morning
crime spree Police said the men are responsible
for at least two burglaries and four attempted
burglaries over a span of four hours, ending
around 4:30 a.m., in the neighborhood near
Forest and Marsh lanes. No injuries were
reported and no property was taken in those
cases.
In one incident in the 3900 block of Clear Cove
Lane, intruders kicked in the back glass door
and began ransacking the house before the owner
yelled at them, according to a police. The
intruders yelled some obscenities before
fleeing. In three incidents, the men caused
damage by kicking in the front door. In one
case, a window was damaged. Police said they
were investigating whether there may be more
cases.
Police are reminding residents to always secure
windows and doors and to have good lighting
around the home. Residents should also report
any suspicious activity immediately.
Crime prevention officers will be offering
safety tips at a neighborhood meeting in the
next few days, Dallas police said.
