Remember Not To
Be Too Nosey!
The purpose
of being a nosey neighbor is to just be aware of
what is going on in your neighborhood, not to be
peeking over fences and in windows! Always
respect your neighbors privacy.
Being a nosey neighbor, means: |

If you see a suspicious vehicle
hanging out in your neighborhood, call 911.
If your neighbor leaves a garage door open,
especially if it is on the alley, call them or
stop by and ask them if they know it is open.
They will tell you whether or not they think you
need to mind your own business! Most will be
happy you were concerned.
If you see a van backed up to a house and people
carrying things out and you do not recognize the
persons involved, call 911
If there is a suspicious person walking around
looking in windows and back yards on your block,
call 911
If a neighbor tells you they are going on
vacation, volunteer to get their mail and pick
up their paper
If you have an elderly shut in neighbor, give
them your phone number to call in an emergency
or ask for theirs so you can call from time to
time to check on them
Being a nosey neighbor is just a fun name to
describe a person who is alert, notices things
happening on the block and calls 911 when
suspicious persons or vehicles are hanging out
in the neighborhood.
